Mark Goldup

Mark has over 20 years experience of working in the housing-related support field. He has worked as a freelance consultant since 1997, and founded his own consultancy company, HGO Consultancy Ltd, in 2003. He works regularly with local authorities and service providers, specialising in Supporting People issues. He has experience in working with the full range of SP services including supported housing, direct access, womens refuges, floating support, sheltered housing, extra-care housing, supported lodgings, home improvement agencies, and community alarms. Mark has particular expertise in policy development, evaluation and review of services, needs assessment, and strategy development. He is committed to making Supporting People work and believes that providers and Authorities alike have a shared interest in making this happen in the interests of vulnerable service users.

Mark has worked with ROCC on a range of projects including:

* Undertaking an SP accreditation process for a number of London Authorities

* Providing advice to providers on SP monitoring and advice procedures

* Completing a homelessness review for Basingstoke and Deane

* Investigating the need for Day Centres in Portsmouth and Basingstoke

* Evaluation of Floating Support services in Hampshire

* Training on a range of issues including preparation for tendering aimed at service providers
