Course Aims and Objectives
To develop a greater understanding of establishing and managing personal and professional boundaries on working with clients. The course will enable participants:
- To identify why we need boundaries and what the difficulties are in keeping to them.
- To be aware of cultural and gender issues in maintaining boundaries.
- To define the limits and boundaries of their work role.
- To develop strategies to effectively manage difficulties with keeping to boundaries
- To reflect and review personal boundaries
- To develop strategies to end a support relationship

Helen has worked for over 15 years in the voluntary sector, primarily in the development of innovative supported housing and related services. After gaining her MBA in 2000 she has focused her training, consultancy and research in the area of professionalising the voluntary and public sectors, and has a particular interest in ethical management practice. She runs her own business, Ethica Consultancy.
