Course Aims and Objectives
By the end of the course participants will have increased their awareness of:
- The indicators and effects of drug use and how they impact on lives.
- Current supply and price issues.
- The major treatment options for drug users.
- The services available to drug users and referral routes
- What referral information will be needed by services in order to work with users effectively
- Appropriate responses when someone is under the influence of drugs with respect to safety issues and risk management.
