Course Aims and Objectives
This course explores how a person-centred approach to care can support wellbeing in older age and the effect dementia plays in this care. The course will look at:
- How to identify individuals needs including strengths, capabilities, needs and wishes that promote wellbeing
- What is considered good practice in care planning relating to promotion of wellbeing
- How to actively listen to the persons needs and not assume (and yes, we tend to do that!)
- Developing good practice that meets inspectors guidelines
