Suitable for: This course is essential for all staff working with adults or children to ensure they are proactive in recognising and responding to child protection issues.
Course Aims and Objectives
- To increase participants awareness of the nature, scale and impact of child abuse.
- To understand participants duty in relation to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children
- To enable participants to recognise the signs and symptoms of child abuse.
- To develop safe reporting and referral strategies.
- To recognise the personal and professional barriers to reporting abuse and to develop reflective practice to enable individuals to overcome these.
